China’s State Administration of Market Regulation Releases 2020 Legislative Plan

The State Administration of Market Regulation (市场监管总局, SAMR) released the 2020 Legislative Plan, listing 55 legislative projects.  Of the 55 projects, several are related to intellectual property law.  The intellectual property related projects include: Antitrust Law of the People’s Republic of China; Implementation Rules of the Patent Law of the People’s Republic of China; Certain provisions prohibiting infringement of trade secrets; Measures for the Administration of Trademark Agencies; Geographical Indication Product Protection Regulations; Official Logo Protection Measures; Certain Provisions on Prohibition of Counterfeiting of Unique Names, Packaging and Decorations of Well-known Goods; Regulations on the recognition and protection of well-known trademarks; and Measures for the Registration and Administration of Collective Marks and Certification Marks.
