Note, to compensate, CNIPA will be open on January 26 (Sunday) and February 8 (Saturday). Patent deadlines are postponed to the next following non-weekend workday. CNIPA 2025 Closure Dates
China’s State Council has recently released the official holiday schedule for 2025. China is adding 2 extra days to the 2025 holidays: 1 day for Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) and 1 day for the May Day holiday. However, China will continue to have weekend “make-up” days. China’s National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) will be closed from February 10, 2024, Saturday, through February 17, 2024, Saturday, for the Spring Festival Holiday (Lunar New Year). Note that February 4, 2024 (Sunday) and February 18, 2024 (Sunday) are designated as working days in China but patent deadlines that fall due on February 18, 2024 will be extended to February 19, 2024.
