Reminder: Extended CNIPA Closure for Lunar New Year 2026

The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) will be closed February 15, 2026 to February 23, 2026 for the Lunar New Year (Spring Festival). Note, to compensate, CNIPA will be open  on February 14 (Saturday)  and February 28 (Saturday).  Patent deadlines are postponed to the next following non-weekend workday. China’s State Council has recently released the official holiday schedule for 2026. China’s Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) holiday will last nine days, making it the longest in history. China will continue to have weekend “make-up” days.  Patent deadlines are extended to the next working day, not including weekend make-up days while trademark deadlines are extended to the next workday even if it is a weekend make-up day. Reminder: Extended CNIPA Closure for Mid-Autumn Festival & Chinese National Day 2025

The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) will be closed from October 1, 2025 up to and including October 8, 2025 for the Mid-Autumn Festival and Chinese National Day holiday.
