On March 8, 2025, China’s Supreme People’s Procuratorate (SPP) released its 2025 Work Report at the 14th National People’s Congress. Regarding intellectual property, the SPC states that 21,000 people we prosecuted for IP crimes in 2024 and highlighted what is believed to be the trade secret case of Zhang, who was prosecuted under China’s version of the Economic Espionage Act. On March 8, 2025, at the third session of the 14th National People’s Congress, Zhang Jun, President of the Supreme People’s Court (SPC), delivered the SPC’s annual work report.
